Cross Country Update #5: Cross Country Festival, AOC Meet
Dear Cross Country Families,
Sorry for two emails in two days, but just a quick addition to yesterday’s.
- A new link and discount code to sign up for our Cross Country Festival in 11/14
- Another meet that is open to all of our registered kids on 10/24
SJTFC Cross Country Festival:
Please go to our Race Registration Page to sign up for one of the races on 11/14. ***Use the code SJTFCKID21 to register any kids that are participating in our Fall Cross Country Program for free. All other family members or friends should pay the very reasonable fee set for each race. The race fees we collect will off-set awards, snacks and beverages, and anything left over will go to our free and reduced program fund. Feel free to share the race registration page with anyone. This event is open to the public, but is clearly identified as a kid-first, family friendly event.
Races include a 100m dash, a 400m run, and 1K, 3K and 5K runs. These race distances are not age-specific, and are provided to allow anyone to choose the distance they are comfortable running. Each race will be run in one co-ed heat.
Ambler Olympic Club Youth Cross Country Meet:
We have been invited by Ambler Olympic Club to participate in a meet at Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Pennsylvania on October 24th at 10:00am. You must register for this meet here by Sunday, October 10th. The fee for this meet is $6, which the meet director is charging to off-set the cost of awards and a professional timing company. When you register, please either Venmo my personal account (so no fees are charged) or bring cash to the meet. The Venmo link is in the registration form.
Races at this meet include:
8 and Under: 2K
9-10: 3K
11-12: 3K
13-14: 4K
Races will be run co-ed, but results will be separated by gender.
And one more time, don’t forgot . . .
Camden County Mile (400m Run, 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, Open/Elite 1-Mile Race):
As a club, we are hosting the 1st Annual Camden County Mile on October 30th. This event includes a 400m run, a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, and an Open/Elite Mile Race. We will also have a fun Run/Jump/Throw expo for kids after the 400 and Fun Run. There is a separate fee for this event, and you can sign up here.
Thanks!
Coach Craig
